Laura came to The Leverage Department with a background in real estate and marketing. As a former agent, she knew the ins and outs of a transaction and understood how many moving parts they can have. She has over 5 years experience working as a Transaction Coordinator and over 12 years experience in real estate. In addition to her Virginia salesperson license, she also holds a BS in Media Studies from Radford University, Radford, VA. Her main goal is to keep all the moving parts in order and remain in constant communication with the agents that she works with and their clients.
If you ask her one of her favorite things about her job, she would tell you, “Sitting down with a busy agent who needs help, but they aren’t sure they are ready to give up control. They literally have fear in their voice. Throughout the transaction, I earn their trust and eventually I get to be a small part of their business. Having someone trust you with a small piece of their business is the best part of my job.”
Laura works hard to ensure agents and thier clients needs are met. She locks down every detail of the transaction. In addition, several administrative tasks are taken off the agent’s plate. This frees up their time to prospect for more business and concentrate on negotiations for their clients.
When she’s not “TCing”, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband and two teenagers. But, let’s be real, she has two teenagers, so most of the time she’s just with her husband and her Jack Russell. If you are looking for her during the summer, she is most likely at the beach. When November comes around, she will be at a cabin in the mountains for a long weekend.
